Grandpa and me in 1982 :) Last week my grandpa passed away at 93 years old. He had always impressed me with how much one man can do in one life. But as we went thru his papers and pictures my opinion of him only grew as I learned more about him. Some people maybe more worried about what you can inherit when a family member passes away but I want to learn from him and take those lessons with me...

Coming back from CHA I had a whirlwind and a half to do and deal with (which was fab btw) and while I'm good at making the To Do list I wasn't actually taking my To Do list and "scheduling" it. There is a difference between knowing you have an empire state building tall list of things that need to be done and a plan for getting them done. Before I would work until really really late trying to...

Last July I did a post showing the Before and After of my new Office/Studio space. Its gotten a ton of views and someone suggested that since a year has passed that I have a little update and talk about what has changed. Above is the current set up in my space. It doesn't look a whole lot different than it did last year over all but there is a few noticeable changes. First is my stamp wall...

Now that its not 110 degrees and my brain is more than a slop of mush in my skull things are starting to get finished up around here. Yesterday was the first day it wasn't hot enough to cook yourself by stepping outside and we don't have full on AC just one window unit that struggled so I was finally able to apply the vinyl for the booth! Above is our logo. I started with that one as it was...

Another job that got done last week was I finally got my office chair recovered! It was flaking and peeling the fake leather after about 2 years of constant use, the foam of the seat was pretty much flat and it actually hurt my tailbone to sit in it for any length of time. The rest of the chair, mechanically, was still as good as day one so it was definitely just time to give it a fix. We...

I have very few photos of her and I don't really need them, though it would truely be nice to have them. Old polaroids to hold on to I remember how much she meant to me. That picture is from christmas 1981 and the uber chubby baby is me, all of about 10 weeks old, the size of those cheeks are amazing lol. The person holding me is the person I can credit with my love of art, design, fabric,...

My Dude graduated Preschool last night and is on his way to kindergarten in the fall! YAY! I totally forgot yesterday was the last day for him and needed something to make as a teacher's gift as she went out of her way to help him and turn it around. I found something similar to what I ended up doing using fridge alphabet magnents but apparently no one has those anymore (went to 6 stores). So...

Today is the day my baby boy turns 5! 5 Big years old! Its really ridiculous , in the last few months we've seen alot of growing up in him and he had a time when he went thru the terrible two's that he never went thru when he was two but he's made a big turn around and now he's 5! *insert big mommy sigh* So since he can take goodies in for his big day and his fav thing on the planet it seems...

Today's Reveal is Hey Kaylee! I've so fallen in love with this turtle stamp lol. I had this one sketched out and ready for a set since October! I'm geeked he's finally in stamp form and out there :) I like the idea that the snail is going WEEEEE because he's going so super fast taking a ride on the turtle. I also found it alot of fun to add texture and depth to the turtle and snail. I...
