Today’s Reveal is Hey Kaylee! I’ve so fallen in love with this turtle stamp lol. I had this one sketched out and ready for a set since October! I’m geeked he’s finally in stamp form and out there 🙂 I like the idea that the snail is going WEEEEE because he’s going so super fast taking a ride on the turtle. 

I also found it alot of fun to add texture and depth to the turtle and snail. I used tons of different colors and my colorless blender alot to make sure both the snail and the turtle had a lot going on. I think the turtle shell turned out especially well!  

I find it ironic that this was the card for today’s reveal because yesterday in the yard, after the kids left the front door open and my indoor cat booked it for the woods, I found a real baby turtle!

We live kind of close to a wetland preserve but in his case it might as well had been a galaxy away! He’s only the size of a half dollar (for all you international peeps like a bit over 2 inches around)! You could tell he’d been hoofin it across the yard for a while because he looked SO dry and he was just sittin there. Literally a foot from where my kids, in all their wisdom, thought digging a hole in the lawn was great fun. I go LOOK! There’s a turtle and they had no idea! He did look like a rock mind you but geez, they had basically been hangin out for a while now. But we brought him in got him a little dish of water and sand to cool himself in then after DH got home we took him to his new home 🙂 DH really wanted to keep him, heck, he was so cute I wanted to keep him but snapping turtles grow HUGE and I don’t want to keep him while he’s cute then let him go, that won’t help him learn to fend for himself. I didn’t even name him… I didn’t want to grow attached lol.
