Long time no see XD Tomorrow I have pics of what I was going almost all last week but today I have a special challenge card to share! Yes, I made a card. In fact this is one of three things today that this card goes along with. I’m all about multitasking.
Today we have a special one week challenge at Some Odd Girl. We are gearing up for our next Facebook Fun Day, hop over to the post on the SOG Blog to read the deets of that, with a Non-Traditional Hair Color Challenge! Which means no all blonde, brown, red or black hair. All blue? YES. Halvsies like I did? YES. All blonde? Nope.
I wanted something bright and funky to go with this challenge and I think I achieved it. The papers are all AC’s Amy Tangerine and Dancin Mae was colored to match. If you want to see how I colored Mae’s hair and the colors I used, then hop over to the Created from Color blog and see the tutorial. See? Three things! I felt so smart lol.
For the rest of Mae I used…
Skin: E00, E11, E13, E04, E08, R01, R02, R43
Clothes: Y13, Y23, Y26, Y28, N2, N4, N7, B93, B95, B97, G05, G09, BG05, BG09

Adorable!
I was just about to buy some digi’s when I saw the banner for the new june release on the 25th.. I’m postponing my purchase untill then but OMG it’s not easy =)
I wish I would be able to buy the rubber stamps but shipping from USA to Belgium proved to be a hassle (I tried a few other companies already, not SOG) so I’m a little bit reluctant =/ Local customs likes to hold my package for ages and then charge me crazy amounts of taxes =(
Meanwhile I started my Copic sample book. I got already a full page of Shy Kaylee-Heads for red hair samples. Looking gorgeous! =)
Keep up the good work! I love following your blog =)
Kristy says:
ooo! Let me know if you post any pics from your sample book! I’d love to see them! 🙂
UGH on the mailing. I don’t understand why they make it so hard for people to conduct international business with tariffs and taxes. I’m sure they have some reason but it still really sucks. I *believe* I’ve shipped to Belgium before and I haven’t heard of issues but then again people don’t usually report back on their shipping experience lol.
You’ll LOVE the new release! You’ll see them on Saturday on the FB fun day too. So I don’t blame you on waiting to see them! HUGS!
Eline Jansens says:
Can’t wait ’till saturday!
So far I made the 1st page with red hair samples using shy kaylee as a ‘model’ =) Hope to find more time soon to continue! Many pages to fill still =0 I posted one picture on my blog http://elinejansens.blogspot.be/ .
Good luck preparing for CHA!
Jess D says:

Yess, Jess! These smashbooks are so amazing because whatever page you make it looks instantly super creative without having to break your head about combining 700 Papers and embellishments =D Super time-saving!

I love all your cards Kristy, they are so bright, cheerful and just a lot of fun! I hope to have some time over the coming week to actually get some crafting done, as I’m moving house this weekend, I don’t think it is going to happen 🙁
