She’s really fun to play with lighting with since she’s holding that big candle 🙂 The colors I used are listed right in the video so I won’t bore you by writing them out again.    You have until the end of  TODAY to get in and comment on all…

Below I’ve compiled a list of this month’s posts for you to check out but today I have a lil sumthin sumthin for you too! Felt Pocket Necklace tutorial

A few weeks ago my hubs won a iPod Shuffle from a work contest. He already keeps his music and podcasts on his smartphone so he had no use for it AND the shuffle was so small that while he wanted to give it to our daughter we all know it would be lost in less time than it took to listen to one of the songs. So I came up with this solution to not only give her a bigger brighter place to clip the shuffle to but to put the headphones in and a handy necklace to keep it contained.  For today’s tutorial I’m going to show you…

    SVG Cutting File Ideas

Hello all!  Audrey Yeager here, and I am super excited to be a part of an AWESOME month of giveaways, tutorials, and how to’s on The Odd Girl blog this month! Lately I have been playing around with creating SVG files, so I thought I would make a few to share, and then show you how I used them! I have a Cricut Expression and Sure Cuts A Lot 2.  It wasn’t until the recent surge in die cutting techniques started that I really sought to learn just what SCAL2 can do. I started with a vision in mind of a geometric pattern using circles.  I played around with the…

    Dew Drop Storage How To

I have a problem. I admit it. I am completely in love with these little colorful Dew Drops by Memento! They don’t take up a ton of space but you can get a ton of colors! As a result they have been growing faster than tribbles on a space station in my stash (I have a Trekie hubby lol) with no good place to put them that was easy to get to and didn’t keep falling over. The other problem I have is seeing things in the Target clearance section and assuming that I can do something with that. Luckily this time my two problems solved themselves 🙂 I bought this…

    Basic Embroidery Stitches Tutorial

Something I like to do in my free time (there’s free time?!) is to embroider. I’ve made a few different hoops, like a raccoon, a bird and a monster, and the stitches used in embroidery can add some awesome detail and texture to lots of different craft projects! Below I have 5 Basic Embroidery Stitches I thought would be great to use on cards, scrapbooking and more! I used yarn vs embroidery floss so you could see it better. Enjoy!

Pins and Needles Halloween Decor Tutorial and Giveaway

Hi Rachael from Pins and Needles here! Pins and Needles was started this past May as I struggled to find employment that worked around the schedule of our special needs child and our new baby. My husband suggested that I start making some of the things I spend hours ‘pinning’ and I came out with our Birthday Calender and our Daddy’s Love Tie Rack. I’ve been a scrapbooker for almost 20 years, so this tapped right into my creative side and became the perfect way to stay at home with the kids and still work.  Today I have a tutorial and giveaway to share! Fall is my favorite time of year,…

Alyce’s Skin and Hair Coloring Tutorial Part 2

Hi everyone! Its Alyce back today with Part 2 of my Skin and Hair tutorial. Yesterday I shared how I colored Skin, today I will show you how I color hair using Alice Mae digi stamp from Some Odd Girl. Just as a reminder this is the final product we are heading toward… Ok! Let’s get started! HAIR COLOURS USED: Y21, YR23, E33, E35 Step 1: To start off with her hair, I use my lightest marker (Y21). Again I like to go from light to dark as it allows me to see where the highlights are and adjust as I go rather than laying down the darker colours and…
