Hey There Hula Girl Mae! ARC Crafts fun

Hey There Hula Girl Mae by Kristy Dalman Hula Girl Mae Digi Stamp ARC Crafts and Some Odd Girl

howdy howdy or should I say Aloha! Today I have a card for you teaming up the new digi stamp Hula Girl Mae from Some Odd Girl with some yummy ARC Crafts wood paper.

This card is actually pretty simple. I used my shredding scissors hubs got me from Target for christmas 2 years ago (theres a Martha Stewart version too) and used it on 1.5″ strips of wood veneer paper then layered it on my card to look like a hula skirt or tiki roof, easy and tons of texture. You wouldn’t think that ACTUAL wood veneer paper would cut so dang well with scissors or in your Silhouette but it DOES, count me surprised and excited!

Then I took a shipping tag I airbrushed with my copics and gave it a lil palm tree background with my black Wink of Stella. I did a lil instagram video to go with it too…

easy to do, eh?

Then I placed Hula Girl Mae, colored with Copic Markers, on top and added my sentiment. Everything is on foam dots so the background texture can do its thang.

To see more woodsy creation using this week’s new Digi Stamps, Hula Girl Mae and Jellyfish, hop over to the Some Odd Girl blog and go see what the Odd Girls have it store. They blow me outta the water! (look I got both puns in there, wood and water XD)
