If you stopped by yesterday you know that its sneaks week for Some Odd Girl’s FIRST EVER Paper Release on our blog. I’m pretty excited, proud, and completely nervous to drop this new product on you guys next week. Doing more than stamps has been a long term goal of mine since Some Odd Girl began and its been a long road to get here.
Its actually kind of funny, designing paper and patterns has been such a long term goal of mine that even though I know, for me, its an evolving skill and process I didn’t think about what the next “big goal” would be when it finally happened. It still remains to be seen if the foray into more products is the right step for Some Odd Girl, it’ll be a couple months at least before I’ll have a good indication how well our first release has been received.
So I thought I’d map out some goals for the next few months and see what new “big goals” I can work towards:
6-9 months
– Successfully survive CHA 2015
– Get ahead with Digi Releases
– Design and product Spring paper release
– Up my blog game. More of my work and more personal content.
9-12 months
– Source a larger variety of products that fit Some Odd Girl (preferably US produced)
– Travel! Teach classes and do in person events (Some Odd WORLD 2015!)
– Build the next step for Some Odd Girl and bring on day to day help
– Keep learning in both business and design.
On going
– Be more comfortable in my own skin and accept things as they are while working on changing them to how I want them to be.
– Grow more bold and confident. Go after promotional opportunities, put the hand out to “names” I’ve been to eeeeep to approach (I don’t have a better word than eeeeep lol), and become more apart of the crafting community.
– Stand up for what I need to get done and see it thru
Well the last bit was more personal but still. If you never had that real talk with yourself then you know all about what I mean.
Do you have any goals for yourself? Any ideas on where I should Travel in 2015? Let me hear it!

Good for you, Kristy! My dad used to make me read books about setting goals, and in my mind, they all said that until written down, goals are just dreams. And you got it out to us so you have more than just yourself to be accountable to. I need to make myself some long term (and short-term) goals and stop just going with the flow…
Kristy says:
Go with the flow is ok too as long as you’re getting things done I think. I need the accountability and the goals so I feel like I’m getting somewhere, I love the checking things off the list on To-Do’s too 🙂 I should add “work on my biz as much as in my biz” in there too. Subtle but important difference.

Those are awesome goals to have and YOU WILL SUCCEED in all of them.. 🙂
Kristy says:
I’d love to keep you in my pocket for those days I need to reminders 🙂 HUGS Annette!

I love that you are opening up more and more. You are such an amazing person and I love seeing your dreams and goals coming true!!
As for where you should visit, I hear that the Omaha, Nebraska area is awesome and they happen to have the #1 zoo in the world there and I might know someone who could show you the zoo when you weren’t teaching coloring and all that jazz. Just sayin’ 😉
I just achieved a few of my goals and haven’t really thought about new ones yet. At this moment it’s just to survive all the changes that have been happening in our family and get into a routine that will allow me to craft more again.
Thanks for being you…you rock and whether you know it or not, you inspire me so much! <3

I am excited to see things expand in the most awesome way with SOG and to watch you grow in your personal journey as well. You have so much talent and I am so thankful that you share it with us. Thank you for teaching us along the way and for showing us how to color your amazing SOG stamps/digis. I also appreciate you sharing your thoughts and goals with us. It takes a lot of courage to open up and sharing things about yourself whether it’s something big or small. I love the idea of you traveling! I totally would love to see SOG come to Florida like the Orlando or Tampa area 😉
