Hi ya everyone! Melissa here today to share a little project and tutorial. I created a fun little box to hold box tops for education in for my daughter’s school. We throw these in an envelope and often forget about them so I wanted something to hang on the fridge that would hold them!
I actually got the idea from a little magnet box at the dollar store. It was a bit bigger and I was afraid that the magnet would not be strong enough, so I decided to create my own. My ever so sweet hubby came up with the idea to hold the box tops! Here are the step by step instructions.
Supplies:
Colored image from Some Odd Girl – School Mae
8 x 12 piece of cardstock
3 1/2 x 2 1/2 piece of same colored cardstock as above
3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ patterned paper (plaid above)
3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ patterned paper (polkadots above)
Paper trimmer
Score Board
Adhesive
Magnets
Glue
Next, follow these simple instructions:
Once you score on both side you should have something that looks like this!
Adhere magnets with glue and dry.
Add patterned paper and image and hang on fridge!!!
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!
