Colouring Reds & a bit of snow :)

by Kristy on October 15, 2011

Hi Everyone,

Zoe here from Make it Crafty! I am very excited to be joining all the fabulous talent here this month to help celebrate Kristy’s birthday! Isn’t it such a great idea??

Well it’s been a bit of a trial for me to get this video to you but that is always the way right? Nothing ever seems to go to plan, especially when you are in a hurry and trying to do a number of things at once! But as I write this I am processing the video FINALLY and now I just have to get it up! haha

Now I will warn you, just because it has been a while since I have made a video, it doesn’t mean I stopped blabbering! Yes I really do need to put a zip on my lips. LOL

The video is really just me chatting as I colour with reds attempting to explain what I was doing. Hopefully it might help a couple of people. :)   Also you’ll find some speed colouring and then at the end I colour in the snow and my quick dodgy sky!

And here is the finished result!

The adorable character is Mistletoe Kaylee from Some Odd Girl &

the background is Ice Skating Lake from Make it Crafty

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having fun joining in the celebrations so far!

Big Squeezes

This is a fabulous video – reds are so difficult to blend sometimes.
Great card too,

Another great tutorial. Love the idea of adding the brown with the red for depth. Very nice final project!

Great Video Zoe, I love coloring reds, for me they are one of the easiest colors, the lighter colors are harder for me, like yellows and very light reds and oranges and pinks.
But watching your video was a great help.
Thanks much for sharing your talents and Kristys birthday!!!
Have a great weekend All.

Maybe Zoe will pop in and tell us, she’s been away all weekend (lucky girl!) but the greys look like Ws and the blues B60s maybe? I like playing the name game with the colors :)

This is awesome Zoe – I love watching colouring tutorials :)
I like how the dark colour really makes the other reds pop.
