Work Wednesday

Wednesdays are my “What I’m working on” day. It could be Things from Some Odd Girl, Design Dollies, or anything in general. See, I have a plan! LOL!

Well yesterday I finally decided that I am entering the Goose Festival Crafty Fair on October 8, 9 and 10. Its two of those days, I’m assuming Friday and Saturday but heck, I went ahead and took all three off of my day job :). Now, besides starting to feverishly working to make 1 million cards to take with, I’m starting to think about how to set up my booth. My FIRST booth evah! I’m geeked to say the least LOL. Has anyone out there ever had a crafty booth of their own? I’d love to hear what worked and didn’t for you. Did you need/want electricity? This is an indoor event but still, I’m thinkin about it.

I’m also looking for fun ways to display my cards. A few of us were talking about doing a card “clothes line” which seems like it could get plenty of product on show but I have a hankerin to make my booth purty. This being my first show, I’m a bit lost on what I need to have on hand and what kind of rules there might be. I’ve got a 10×10 booth to my savvy and want to make a good first impression with local people as I would love to get my cards into our local touristy area and just to meet and greet in general.

I’m not having tons of luck finding good piccys on the internet for inspiration but anyone who knows me knows I have no google-fu (google skills) so if you have any pics or sites or ideas you’d like to share PLEASE DO! lol I’m heading to the antique fair this weekend so maybe I’ll find something fun there. Here’s the only couple I could find that actually pertained from Craft Show Designs Blog

So that is what I’m workin on, amidst a couple other things on my to-do list, what are YOU workin on this week?

okay, LOVE the clothesline idea, just make sure you have something STURDY to anchor them to the table… the cases in these photos are ADORABLE! as far as the electricity, i'd say that IF you're thinking of showing people what you can do for SPECIAL ORDERS (i.e. with your Silhouette), then yes, hook it up! otherwise, no. just try to have as many examples and various products as you can possibly show them. tags, party hats, favour bags (like halloween treat bags), etc.

SO exciting! and dude, the tote and the T-SHIRT are crucial! 😀

WOW!! great…I like the clothes line idea on the walls of the both and some very fancy card on a table with lovely presentation.
I usually put my cards in a clear cello bag with a envy ..that way I don't get fingerprints and the customer( I've only 2) get a nice packaging to take home.
I wish I lived near your place…I've tons of card stacking up on my crafttable.
    Good Luck!!
