    Beach Love

its cold, its snowing. So I’m doing a little bit of reliving summer with this LO of my chick at the beach. Its my favorite place to be, any time of the year except winter (though it is pretty), and its hers too.  I’ve gone there just when I’ve had a bad day or a day with the fam.  I have some Pink Paisley, Crate, Carta Bella, Sassafras, Chic Tags, Fancy Pants and Elle’s going on in this LO.  I’m entering this into the Paper Issues My Happy Place Issue going on now. You can link up any project new or old that fits the theme too and be entered…

Today I have a LO to share with you. I’ve been getting my scrap on more (I need to start working my stamps in now I have my feet under me) and this LO, though the second version, if really one of my favs now! Paper Issues is sponsoring Creative Scrappers’ sketch challenge with a $30 gift certificate. A lot of the girls from the Paper Issues team played along with the sketch too and you can see them on Creative Scrappers all this week and enter your own take on it.  For mine I used papers from Dear Lizzy & Crate, embellies from AC, Crate, Amy Tangerine, Studio Calico,…

    Grateful for You

There’s a new Issue over at the Paper Issues blog, its Grateful for You.  What a perfect theme for this time of year!    I HAD to use this pic of my kids for this theme. Just shy of 2 years older than her younger brother, my daughter totally mothers him… and he LOVES it. He relishes being the baby and everyone thinking he’s just super cute (he is though dang him). I’m attempting to get my scrap mojo back on the groove too. I’m switching it up to 8.5″ x 11″ so my albums fit on the shelf and I gots to say, I’m super in love with this…

    My Buddy

Happy Monday! I finally got a chance to get crafty this weekend, my Kanvess pics were here and Paper Issues’ new linky comes with a sketch so BAM… crafty trifecta!  I was digging the repetition of shapes as I made this apparently lol. I cut the dark blue circle-hearts, arrows, and the title out with my Silhouette, the others were with my Cuttlebug. Papers and embellies from Studio Calico, Dear Lizzy, October Afternoon, the Twinery and Fancy Pants. If you want to join in with this linky you have almost 2 weeks to do so, just hop on over to see what the Paper Issues girls did and get inspired!…

    let’s have a crafting a{flair}!

Today is a new theme over at Paper Issues, let’s have a crafting a{flair}, sponsored by PI girls Martha with her shop Panda Eight Designs. She has some gorgeous flair!  The theme title was perfect for the layout I wanted to do, about valentine’s day with my kids and hubs this year. We decided to have breakfast for dinner, a treat around here, and I made heart shaped pancakes. The kiddos thought it was so super cool! I loved that they appreciated the effort. DH made a homemade pancake batter with cinnamon and vanilla that was just too yummy  I just got Paper Issues box (#cassiemail!) in and was so…

    Dance and Dream

I was so super proud of her during her recital. She never fell behind, stayed on beat and followed the steps way better than I would have thought. My daughter is overly exuberant to the point of you’re never quite sure if she’d listening to a word you’re saying let alone if any of that is sinking in. No one can ever doubt how much she enjoys and loves her dance class… even if she does give her teacher’s patience a run for its money lol. The funnest part of the two dances her class did was watching her lead her little band of girls and like a mother hen…

    Back to School Haircut Layout

Happy Wednesday!  Today I was going to have the reminder and color list for the Wednesday Live Color Along but with two sickies I had to change my game plan and have a layout to share with you instead. Yes! A Layout.  I’ve been trying on my crafty Sunday (while I watch football) to do some scrapping just for fun. I really want to thank the Paper Issues GIrls for some photography tips for my layouts, drove me nuts when they looked all wonky! I still have to find a good spot to photograph them or get another lamp or something but at least they’re straight 🙂 Progress. This…
