Was it just me or having the new year on a weekend just made it seem like a longer party than if it was on say, a wednesday? Its probably just me 🙂 The year just doesn’t seem so new anymore and its only day 3!

Anyway, the project I have to share today is a lil project I designed and made for myself (with felt from HERE) when I really decided that I wanted to get more serious about sewing. I needed a pincushion and I loved that one I saw on Etsy but I really wanted one that I could wear on my wrist. So I sketched it out and made a pattern and put it all together. Here’s the felty bits and their patterns

I combined the fabrics and patterns on my own love and whim 🙂 I basically designed it to look like a Tia. The top portion velcros to the bottom and is stuffed and has a piece of chipboard in the bottom to prevent it from poking thru, as does the blue interior section. The button hole is hand stitched as well as everything else. It didn’t really take as long as I thought it would once I had the design and all the pieces ready. There was a wonder thru the entire process if this was really going to work out LOL. I’m proud to say it did! Purty proud of this one 🙂
