VLCD Week 2

btw, totally NOT my feet, gawd, those are not chick feet! Had to say something there

Week 2 is officially behind me, today is day 20. I’ve lost another 6 lbs bringing my total up to 18lbs πŸ™‚

I haven’t been as good at being on top of eating all the program food this week because of some horrible nausea! My 800-900 calories was more like 500 for most of the week, waaaaaaay under. I mean like I felt I should be preggers nausea. My morning sickness was so bad I couldn’t even keep down jello for the first three monthsΒ  πŸ™ Luckily I can check that worry off the list as the hubs has been snipped for 4 years now, so yay that. But still. While I’m happy to say I didn’t throw up, I couldn’t eat more than a few bite of anything without threat of looming. So I was left listless and exhausted for a few days. Yesterday is the first day I felt well enough to be normal.

Dr White is chalking it up to my vitamins so I am vitamin free from Thursday thru today. Tomorrow I can either try taking them at night or start taking two Flinstones kids vitamins. Since I have the energy vitamins and I like sleep, I’m going to get some Flinstones… and call me weird, but I think they taste good LOL!!!

This week at class it was with the dietitian and the exercise physiologist. We did some round robin station exercises then had a discussion about biggest challenges for summer eating and what you can do about it, healthy alternatives and such. I have a books worth of handouts to finish reading! My biggest UGH came from the handout that listed all the calories in liquor. I’m not a big drinker but when I head to do so, bring it on! πŸ™‚ That happens like once or twice a summer but I’m not against a glass of wine occasionally at home either. For instance, 1 shot of Vodka – 110 calories. Add the rest of my strawberry daiquiri stuff to that and… I don’t want to speculate πŸ™

So now that the nausea seems to have subsided, I’m back on eating plan and getting back on the exercise! I did manage at least 20 min most of the days except a couple, but I can’t say they were very vigorous. Wish me luck for week 3!

BTW, my friend Marilyn is starting a journey of her own and posted about it today, give her a big RAH RAH RAH!

I am so happy to read that those are not your feet. Dude, I hate feet at the best of times but those up there are UGLY with three capital ‘U’s… πŸ™‚

Glad you are feeling better and YAY on your achievement so far. I think the mistake most peeps make is that they are hell bent on loosing something like 30 lbs in the first two weeks, but they have to remember that we do not put all that weight on within the matter of weeks. We put on slowly and that is the only way to lose it successfully as well (been there, done it and only the slow and sometimes discouraging way made me keep it off).

So, once again WELL DONE you for having taken the first step and for continuing to loose. YOU ROCK, chickee

    • Kristy says:
