This was the first card of Wednesdays crafty day. I was breakin back in my mojo fo sho but the shading on Kaylee I was definitely happy with! I feel like this card could have used some more details but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what! Rusty?
I made this card with the challenge at CPS in mind. I used Balloon Kaylee from Some Odd Girl and papers from Ellie’s Tale by Sassafras. Kaylee is colored with copics with memento ink to stamp on the Copic Xpress It paper.
I went on a “new paper for my copics” fit the other day and ordered a sample pack of Neenah Solar White and Copic Xpress It. At first I hated both. Probably bc they were different than what I was used to using.
I’m stubborn.
But in the end I really like the Xpress It… and still don’t like the Neenah. I know its all just preference but the Neenah had a blotchier blending while the Xpress It basically blended on its own (which can be good and bad depending on what you’re after but I digress). Now with practice the Xpress It might be my go to paper. Dang it though bc its not cheap! You should have seen me hording little pieces LOL

This is beautiful, you’ve coloured Kaylee PERFECTLY! I agree, you have nailed the shading. I don’t think this card needs anything more, all of the focus is on the gorgeous image and those awesome patterned papers!!
I used Neenah at the moment *hangs head* but I use PM’s.. when my little order of Copics arrives I’ll have to see how it all goes. Fingers crossed I don’t have any trouble!!

I hope you don’t have problems! I think its just preference and I am a bit weird. Maybe I subconsciously had to go against the majority 😉 Majority loves Neenah, so I bet you’ll be golden!

Kristy you are not weird, You’re ODD! LOL I don’t use either….I use Wal Mart brand paper…..I just don’t know any better! LOL I LOVE your card. I m in love with your noses you guys make! Fantastic fo sure! Perhaps a couple wee small butterflies or things with wings in that center circle beside Kaylee…..I dunno, I’m just throwing things out there! Papers are Gorge with Kaylee colored to perfection!

I am and xpress it girl too! I used Neenah for quite awhile and was okay with it but when I tried the xpress it the Neenah was put aside for samples and sentiments only. The xpress it is just so smooth and a brighter white which is what I like. I wouldn’t change a thing with your card, sometimes being able to say enough is a good thing!

I LOVE Xpress It blending card… It’s my all time fav! Although I’m lucky that it’s made here in Aus so easy for me to get!
