Holiday Wreath

I finally have a wreath that I LOVE that goes with my white tree šŸ˜€ All I had to do was make it but I wanted to do that anyway lol

Michael’s this year had WHITE wreaths and garland! I’ve only been wanting that for about 10 years! We’re all coordinated now and its just perfect. I got the wreath at M’s for 50% off a couple weeks or so ago then finally got the ornaments to go with it from Target. The little JOY ornament was just too perfect to pass up, esp for $1.Ā

I didn’t use all the ornaments I got on the wreath but the rest went on the garland so it wasn’t wasted šŸ™‚ I put the ornaments on with the wire hooks but instead of just hooking I twisted them tight onto the wreath so I could position them bulb out. Then the star ornaments I tied on with white string as I wanted them to lay flat. Then I ended up gluing the JOY sentiment on as I couldn’t figure out how to put it on with wire without it showing.Ā

I’m excited! šŸ˜€ DH thinks I’m silly bc I’m that geeked over a wreath lol.Ā

What decor items have you made this year? What’s still on your list?

Kristy, I love this wreath! So bright and fun! I plan on making a few ornaments with the munchkins but that is about it!

That’s still on our to do list too! We usually each buy an ornament every year but this year I decided (executive decision lol) that we should be making them, its just more fun! I hope yours turn out well! I’m not sure what we’re doing exactly šŸ™‚

You are too funny! When I moved to Florida five years ago I decided I wanted a white tree and ornaments in pink, aqua and lime green. I love it! I was in TN visiting family over Thanksgiving and stopped in Michael’s and there was a white wreath already decorated with the same color scheme. I lovingly touched it and thought about buying it but my Mom was standing there probably thinking the same thing as your hubby. Now that I see yours, I am going to have to make me one to go with my tree!

You SO need one Peggy! My mom always thinks my taste are weird so I roll with it lol. LOVE the color scheme of your tree, I bet its gorgeous!

LOVING the wreath! I like those colors for every day (those are the colors in the crafty room) stuff, so for Christmas I love the traditional colors. šŸ™‚

My WHOLE theme is gingerbread men and candy. I bought 4 stocking kits (you know, those felt ones), that I’d found on Ebay for about $80 each (OMGoodness! Um… no they weren’t even made up. This was just the kit), at Michael’s for $5 each because they were bringing back the design because it was so popular. They aren’t going to be done for this Christmas, but I’m going to pay my grandmother (she’s awesome at them) to make them for me for next Christmas because I just don’t have the time. šŸ™‚

Other than those, I have no plans to make anything this year except packing labels because of the move in mid-January. šŸ™‚

ooo those sound just awesome! Great theme! I’d love to make gingerbread houses with the kids but baking is not my strong point. Decorating, yes, baking no. šŸ™‚

I love your wreath! It’s so bright and cheery! I haven’t made anything yet this year since I have another 10 days of school and tests. I plan on making some holiday cards and maybe name place cards for the table. Maybe I’ll find time to make a table runner too.
