I’m so thrilled that each and every one of these crafters have joined me! Trust me, there is some awesome stuff in store this month! 😀 Each of our many giveaways will all be ending on Oct 31st and I will be announcing the winners on Nov 5. We’ll have posts everyday this month so be here each and every day for something new to learn.

Now we MUST have a How-To, Giveaway or Tut everyday this month or it would ruin the name of our event, 29 days doesn’t sound as awesome as 31 does it? So I want to kick it off myself with our first giveaway…

Some Odd Girl is my baby so it only makes sense to kick it off with a giveaway. To enter leave a comment here telling me your favorite thing to craft and if there’s anything you wish you knew how to do. Easy peasy!

Be back here tomorrow for our first guest post from Leah Farquharson!

I have been working more with my coloring and of course would LOVE to get better at that! My dream is to one day be able to take a certification class to improve my skills! Hoping a class comes closer to my home town!

Thanks for the fun month ahead!

  • Marianne says:

Happy Birthday Kristy! Cannot believe your previous month long birthday party was already a year ago. It also means I’ll be a year older on the 30th LOL. I love making Christmas cards, but I’m always struggling to come up with a nice layout. Fortunately, there’s lots of sketches out there. I would also like to become better at colouring images. Although my marker collection is growing (don’t own any Copics though), I would love to become more confident at combining and blending colours and apply proper shading. I have discovered I’m not the only one having problems with shading, because I often see some wonderful cards on the various challenge blogs with images with perfect blending. But when you look closer, the light sometimes comes from all directions LOL. So maybe I should just relax and enjoy the process, getting a little better every time (hopefully).

  • Amy O says:

Loved this last year – so glad you’re bringing it back! Happy Birthday a little early!

My favorite thing to craft is cards. I love to send them to people to brighten their day. Thanks for all of the inspiration and instruction!

I love making albums; the filling of them elude me but I love taking a handful of flat pieces of paper, making a few cuts and folds and gluing it all together into a book! I think that is why I love copics so much-you can take an image that is beautiful and flat, and turn it into something that is even more beautiful with depth and color!

  • Liz O says:
