Antique Fair!

I LOVE the antique fair! It runs from April – September and is on the last Sunday of the month. Because of Easter this year they pushed it back to the following Sunday and made it two days! *bliss* I could only go to Saturday but I had a grand time. Grammy watched the kiddos (she volunteered!) so it was just Hubs and I. We had breakfast at a local small restaurant. You know the kind, no chain standard here, homey staple of the small town fry plate breakfast place. Then we headed to the fair.

#12 are vintage Avon aftershave cars. I LOVED this display because my grandpa used to collect them. He had glass shelves across this HUGE picture window and it was just full of cars like these. Like a rainbow in the window.

#11 I wish I had picked up. I am still in love with it. I went to the fair looking for a card catalog or something else to hold stamp stock so I didn’t want to buy the first thing I saw and not have the money for what I needed later on. But when I came back an hour later this beauty was gone. It rotated and with all those little spaces I could just see it on my desk holding all my little embellies *SIGH*

#4 I totally swooned over this table set! The color and vinyl were perfect!

#6 What can I say… I saw more accordians at the fair this time then I have ever seen… EVER. This booth had 26 they bought at an estate sale and I was Β seeing them every where! I bet there were 50 or more.

I did end up finding my shelf, not a card catalog but I love it. But that’s for another day πŸ™‚ Do you have a fair near you? Or where do you like to go thrift and treasure hunting?

One last thing… Have you been over to Freckled Nest? Leigh-Ann is having a super big fun giveaway! And I’m in the thick of it. Take a look!

I generally have to thrift and treasure hunt at charity stores.. but it’s hard to thrift furniture around these parts.. well.. thrift vintage furniture anyways…

We get a vintage fair here once in a while but it’s mostly clothing and jewellery.. and a lot of it is sold at “vintage” prices.. πŸ™ I love your photos tho! Looks like so much fun!! xx
