Tally Scrapper Crop

was this weekend. I finally was able to get in on the action on Sunday and managed 5 projects before I officially got pooped and it was too dark for pics. I had fun! I got to try the 6×12 size that I’ve seen people like Nikki totally RAWKIN and it was fun! I’m gonna add that to me reg repertoire. It makes you think about your pages differently. Well here’s my Sunday best

I totally threw the rules (at least the unconscious ones in my head) away for the Leaf LO. I had these papers I liked and decided what the hell and just use them together. I think it came out pretty good! The Peanut Butter LO was my last one for the day (hence the dark pic) and I’m still on the fence on this one. I think its b/c I’m not used to filling up the entire page so its bothering me a lil bit lol. But I think I found the perfect book title for my page, which was the challenge. The Diva LO was my first 6×12 and I LOVE that one! It was for LJ’s out with old challenge and I used the oldest things I could find! Papers from years and years ago, brads at least that old, hinges that I got almost a year ago (and love!) and other oldies but goodies from my stash. Turned out rather well :)
My bird card (the first card) was a fun one to do and while I’m not that great at vintage the vintage valentines card didn’t turn out too bad maybe. The images were good ones!
I also want to give a shout out to Kim! Thank you so much for your plug for Some Odd Girl on your blog!!! That was so incredible and nice to do!!! She’s totally right though! Go get your freebie!

So busy! But had time for Sketchy Thursday!

We’ve had an incredible week at my house with all the get goin and such at Some Odd Girl and while I was catching up around the blogosphere I came across Sketchy Thursdays’ Second Chance Challenge Sketch on Heidi’s blog (I finally discovered Google Reader lol). I was INSTANTLY inspired!!! I literally dug right in! Less than an hour later here is the result!

The lines on Heidi’s sketch totally made me think of a musical staff and that led me right to Rockin Kody! Very fun sketch Heidi! Keep’em comin!

Some Odd Girl Launch!

Saturday YAY!

Hi lovies! Its Day #2 of my vaca and its really weird not to be workin. A tad stange in fact. I did work on cleaning my scrap area and that is done so I guess I did work a wee bit.

I wanted to give a happy sigh that the first week of the new year and new challenges at Design Dollies went off without a hitch :) We had alot of fun! I hope everyone can join us soon :) Here’s my 2 creations for the

The tides of mojo are out!

Its my first day of vacation and I was “lucky” enough to get the car stuck in the driveway with no adults to help me get it out so I had a whole day at home to get creative and I stared at my table and stash with what felt like a trickle of drool and not a thought in my head.

Well the day continued and it finally got to nap time and my laptop had a full battery so I was browsin around tryin to jump start my brain (I think it froze. Its SO COLD here!) and decided to check out Sketchy Thursday. Well the new sketch for this week let me give my brain a temporary thaw… its back on ice now :/ Here’s the fruits of that burst of creativity…

I got alot of yummies in this one! Hambly, Sassafras, Pink Paisley, Dymo, American Crafts… I also got to use my new breyer! YAY!
This is a BOM LO with my word for 2010: Self. I think I may dig it! Maybe my mojo will peek in a lil tomorrow :) Well lovies! That’s all from here! Come back maybe tomorrow for a couple more projects from my Specialty kit with my Scrap Muse kit.

OMG So long!

I’ve been soooo busy at home and work, like everyone else I’m sure, that I haven’t had time to post lately! Well YAY! The busy time is almost done and things can get about back to normal. Well, normal is a loose term around here but ya know! LOL!
I wanna come back probably tomorrow for a more detailed post BUT right now I need to quickly get up my Second Chance Challenge entry for over at Sketchy Thursday :) Here it is!
Yes I know… I’ve been obsessed with Sassafras lately but can ya blame me??? This is from the sweet Marmalade Line. DROOL! I hope you all likey! I enjoyed this challenge immensely!

Gutter Girlz baby!

The challenge this month over at Gutter Girlz is definitely a fun one! The DT really had alot of dif interpretations on the prompt! LOVE IT! Not only that but my Teamie Kimmy from over at ScrapMuse was this month’s GDT! Love her! Her style is so fun! You need to check her and the prompt out!!!
I’ve always said that Gutter Girlz is like free therapy for me, I hope it doesn’t seem like I’m always a downer but it lets me get these things out in way that other mediums really can’t. I promise I will have a happy LO one day LOL!!!!!
Here’s the prompt:

And here is my take on it:
There’s alot goin on in this one! I was originally going to journal on the tag but after using over spray (from my glimmer mist) to ink the edges of the tag and smearing I had the thought to press in my thumb print. I think its really symbolic. The lil frame I’ve been hording is Love, Elsie. I’ve also got some Sass, Hambly, Magic Mesh, 7 Gypsies and Neopiko marker goin on. I can’t wait to get started on next months prompt!

Sketchy Thursdays and Sassafras Goodness!

I got home from work (it was a doozy!) and decided to get crafty! After shoveling in leftover scalloped potatoes and ham :) I was STARVING! Well I found a super awesome Sketch over at Diana and Heidi’s lovely blog Sketchy Thursday. I was intrigued! Then I found a challenge to use your Sassafras Amplify Challenge so I totally combined the two! Here’s the end creation…
Sooooo satisfying!!! Now I gotta go clean up the house but before I go I wanna leave another couple projects I’ve made with the Amplify Line by Sassafras Lass. Love that collection!

Well Hell!

What a day today has been! My BFF smashed the front fender of the car i was driving….. MY MIL’s!!!!!!!! THEN I get home and have to go pick up said MIL and while backing out the kids (who have been cuckoo-bananas ALL DAY) were crazy fighting, distracted me and I hit a tree! WITH MY MIL’s CAR! AHHHHHHH THEN, even though you’re thinking “isn’t that enough???” I turn my back for a hot minute, no pun intended, and DS scalds his hand on heating soup. He was silent as a cat!!! Not to mention I got oddly chewed by the big boss at work yesterday! Can I please crawl into a hole and DIE? Or drink more wine? I’m already workin on that one!!! LOL!

Well then! Onto the scrappy goodness! Two fun things to show you ladies today!!! First Design Dollies has been seriously kickin my butt this week!!! I was NOT stocked for the first two challenges of the week! First is Monochromatic Purple… I had 3 sheets of patterned paper to work with! THREE!!!! CRAZY!!!

Next the Elements Challenge was to use snowflakes. I had all of ONE of ANYTHING, in this case Hambly pattened paper, to use! It didn’t come out too bad though.


Lastly this week was my Sketch Challenge and this one I finally didn’t kill myself over!

Here’s another super fun thing! I can finally show you all the Preview for my first DT kit for Scrapmuse!!! I can also show you my preview LO for it! The rest will have to wait till the 15th! But I’m sure you can drool and salavate till then!

Aren’t they CUTE?! I love them! And I love that kit! Can’t wait to play more!!! Tune in next time for some more fun and scrappiness! I just got 2 new glimmer mists! There has to be some fun to come out of that!
