    Hello there

Happy Monday!  Today I’m sharing with you this card using the 1920s Gwen digi stamp and a light soft palette… except that pop of yellow.  I kept the colors and shading very soft on her with my Copics to go with the sweet papers. I’ve had this card sitting for a while but I couldn’t get a great pic of it, it just wasn’t cooperating. Lately I had been shooting my pics on a wood top with a pattern paper background because how I used to do it made the editing take a long time. I wasn’t very in love with it. So many make it look FAB but I…

    Bonjour, Valentine

Its my turn up on the Some Odd Girl blog this week with this card, using Frenchie Kody. I didn’t flat out put VALENTINES on it but I thought his raised brow and mustache twirling sent the message with his appraising look that makes knees weak. J can’t stache twirl but I know that look that says other things *hubba hubba* You can see more about this card on the Some Odd Girl blog. I did Copic Watercolor this image, let me know if you’d like to see a tutorial of that in the future, its pretty fun and easy.

    You’re Ripe for Me, Valentine

Hey Oddies! This week on the Some Odd Girl blog the girls are sharing some Valentine’s Day inspiration in case you have a few cards left to make before Saturday (or Friday for school). Today I have a 4×4 card that’s pretty simple in layering with the Banana from the Some Odd Girl clear stamp set, Fruit Salad. For the banana I colored him by watercoloring with Copic Markers various ink. (0, N0, N3, 100) I wasn’t very good at waiting for the stamped ink to dry but that kinda worked to my advantage in this case by adding a nice edge shadow to the peels. Score! Got to love…

    Warm & Cozy Penguins

Happy December! I have a pink holiday creation to share today using the penguins from the Clear Stamp set Winter Friends and sentiment from Sweater Kaylee. This one was pretty simple to put together. I tore the white layers for the snow, after trimming some white CS to the width so the edges would be nice, distressed them up a little bit, stamped the background and it was pretty much done. Since the card was so pink I wanted that reflected in the coloring of the penguins too. I used the Ns, to match up with the stamp ink of the sentiment and their bows & ties, then in the…

    Thanks a Latte

well I thought I’d pair up the BRRRR outside with it being Thanksgiving week but, while rainy, its 50 degrees so not so brrr. That doesn’t stop me from sharing though. I created a card with the digi stamp Coffee Piper (I’m saying Cocoa Piper bc I’m not a coffee person) and the sentiment from Hipster Mae. Over all its a pretty simple card. I used the Hexie Dot wood veneers to imitate snowflakes, for the brrr effect, and colored Piper with Chameleon Markers.  Getting my curly hair coloring groove with the chameleons took a lil practice but heck, I dive in the deep end. Why not? I used BG4,…

    Girl’s Best Friend

Look at me all fancy with a card to post today. I actually did this is September but with everything that went on the last 2 months it never got posted. So VIOLA! I used the Digital Stamp Tia & Puppy with the sentiment stamp from Walk the Dog Piper. The patterned papers are my Sunshine Sorbet Collection and the background paper is ARC wood veneer… its scrummy! For the sky background I just used my Copic Airbrush (I got a compressor for my birthday, SWOON) and put on a little bamboo twine. If you’d like a tutorial on getting started with the airbrush, hop over to StampNation and check…

    Walk the Dog Piper

Today on the Some Odd Girl blog we are featuring the second of our new release sets, Walk the Dog Piper. She’s pretty stylin with her duds and cute pup! For my card I used papers from my Sunshine Sorbet pad and American Crafts, then used vellum to create a shaker pocket for the card with the Sorbet Sequins inside. Piper is colored with Copic Markers. Hop over to the blog and see the projects the Odd Girls have made with today’s set!

    Cat Lady Kaylee

YAY! Today is the October Clear Stamp Release from Some Odd Girl!  We’ve got 2 new sets for the pet lovers out there. We’re featuring Cat Lady Kaylee on the Some Odd Girl blog today and this is my card with her. I paired up papers from my Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 pad with American Crafts for the jaunty angle card.  I like how this card (finally) turned out. I’ll admit, it was ripped apart 3 times before it ended up this way. I just couldn’t finish it up and be happy with it. Sometimes that’s just how it goes I guess. 🙂    Hop over to the Some Odd Girl…

    Oh Hello, Puppy Love

YAY! Its new Digi Tuesday at Some Odd Girl and we have 2 new Digi Stamps available this week, Tia & Puppy, and Puppy Love, the latter of which I’m using today. Along with Puppy Love I’m using papers from the new Sunshine Sorbet 6×6 paper pad, the limited Silver Triangle sequins and sentiment from the Be You Clear Stamp set. I really liked how the triangle sequins echoed the chevron and arrows on the paper, it came together nicely BUT I did have help… yup, I had kitty help the entire time making this card, she kept this up for about 45 minutes but is way too cute to be…
