ODDtober Fest Halloween Hop

Hop-Graphic-2015

Welcome to my house as you Trick of Treat with us Odd Girls this halloween 😀

Each stop along the way will have a (craft) Trick and some a Treat. You have to comment at each house (blog) to be eligible to get a treat. Not very hard but we all like treats, especially treats that get you $10 of free loot from my shop. You should have gotten here from the Some Odd Girl blog and next up you’ll be knocking on Leah’s door. But first let me share my project with you…

Cauldron-Tia

I’m not going to lie, I enjoy drawing halloween-y type things but I’m not great at halloween cards and this gave me fits and started nothing like how it ended up. Ironically I really like the final product, the crafty life is weird.

Remember each stop has a trick for you and mine is no exception. My trick has to do with the background of my card and how I got the gradient/ombre look in my gesso…

To get a similar look, spray a glittery mist (mine is Heidi Swapp Citron) to the upper area of your plastic mask and allow to dry (if its wet you’ll use up the color super fast). Next use your knife to spread your gesso, starting in the area you misted and evenly working to the bottom. The starting area will get more of the color while it gets gradually lighter toward the bottom.

Tadah! I hope you enjoyed your stop at my house and will try out my trick. Now make sure you don’t walk on my grass as you head over to Leah’s house. I’d have to shake an old man fist in your general direction if you do. Here’s the hop list if you get lost…

Have fun hopping!
