I’m using the sentiment on this card as a mantra in my head. I’m pretty sure January was plotting against me getting anything done between holiday break, CHA, then being sick, THEN the storms giving the kids an extra week off of school… it executed its plan very well.

I’m swamped.

Swamped is hair pulling but its also awesome. Being busy shows I have something good to work towards so even though there’s a little scream sounding in the back of my mind, I’m grateful.

For the card, I used the Clear Stamp Wishes, from Some Odd Girl, who I colored up with Copic Markers then paper pieced her dress using the markers to add some shading. The papers are Studio Calico, Crate Paper and Webster’s Pages’ Hello Again. I LOVE that line to tiny bits and pieces… that I am very much hording. Lastly I added gold sequins for a touch of bling and inked the edges with 2 shades of memento that I was geeked ended up matching the base paper.
