My Chicka at 7 years old, a scrapbook LO

By now she’s actually closer to 8 than 7 (oh my flippin what? Did I just say that?!) but for some reason for me after she convinced me to cut her hair and she went into the second grade, after an admittedly rough start, she’s started to really blossom. She’s always had personality, she’s always had a way about her that she knew what she wanted but this year she seems to be starting the confidence to go along with the attitude. I don’t know if the hair cut triggered it or it was just that much more apparent but my little girl is growing up!

Now mind you that she’s since lost one of her front teeth with the other one headed out soon and its making her look more kid less grown up lately but that hasn’t stopped her from using that cuteness to her advantage lol.

This Layout is the one that got me back into love with scrapbooking. Her pics made it a must scrap! I got to use a lot of scraps and pieces of Sass I’ve been hording since they closed shop. Since they started designing for other companies though I’m less grippy on them. Except those blooms with the thread, I LOVE those!

Almost everything is Sass except a smidge of AC and SC Mr Huey and the Washi tape. Gotta have the Washi tape!

Well its been a crazy week here and I hope yours has been crazy awesome too! I’ll see you again next week!

  1. My Maddie will be 8 on the 29th of Dec! Their birthdays make me feel older than my own! Maddie has both of her new big-people front teeth, and oh my gosh, they look mighty big!! lol! Cute page! You are making me feel guilty, I am soooooo behind on their books!

  2. I was going to say WOW! A scrap page!! I love this Sassy line so much and you WORKED IT here. I wish they came back and added you to their DT. 🙂 Beautiful design- lots of contrast and pretty detail but the page remains very modern and clean.

  3. What a great layout and just what I needed to get me motivated to scrap today. My goal is to catch up in this year’s book…but I am still back on my summer vacation photos, so it feels a bit more like a chore than a craft. Your daughter is adorable and the layout is the perfect highlight. Thanks for sharing!
