September Sketch Challenge

Happy first day of school! YAYAYAYAYAY!   rckhnds  :DD

I got the kids (BOTH) on the bus and out the door this morning. I’m super sad to see my Dude so grown up but I’m not sad that today Momma has the day to herself! Selfish but I told DH to give me this first day allll by my self. (he makes his own schedule) Midafternoon nap? I just might!

I FINALLY got some Mojo back. I took some suggestions out of the comments on last weeks “Mojoless” comic and hit up a challenge or 2 to start with. I got 5 cards all done! 5! 😀 A couple are me working ahead on the monthly challenges for Some Odd Girl but I do have some to share too. This card is actually for the September Sketch Challenge at Some Odd Girl

I pulled a lot of inspiration from the sketch and a little from the regular dot pattern Lou used on her challenge example. I decided to go more in the random drip direction though. I used White Mr Huey to make the drops just by letting it drip off the sprayer’s inside tube to the paper. The papers I used are from Studio Calico, Echo Park, American Crafts and MME. The bottom stripe is silver washi tape so I got some shine while keeping a subdued version of the background pattern. For my image I used Tweet Kaylee with a sentiment from the clear set Hey Kaylee, both from Some Odd Girl then I colored Kaylee with Copics.
