Oh Kristy! Thank you so much for the HAIR tutorial! I love the layout you did and the colours are awesome! This was my suggestion on your giveaway questions and I am soooo very happy that you were able to do this. Look forward to other combos =) You go Girl!

    Thanks and Big Hugs;

LOVE this tutorial! Give me pics like this any day! I don’t always have the patience to sit through a tutorial video, this is perfect! Awesome color combo, I appreciate you sharing that! What are your fav colors for a blonde? I am never happy with my blonde hair.

    • Kristy says:

I’ll work on a blonde for my next one 🙂 I have a few I like to use!

Love, love, love it! Love it! Love. It! So clear and non-intimidating. I’m a red-head…but can only color brunettes well. SO looking forward to attempting this when I get home tonight. (I’m not even going to clean up my space…I’m gonna grab my copics and an image and go somewhere else! Ha!) Do you do that…make a HUGE mess that you are oblivious to until you’re ready to start the next project? Sheesh…

    Thanks!!!

    • Kristy says:

YES! My mess is on the other side of my desk and I ignore it until I go to craft again then go DANG IT! lol! Hope your try at it goes well!

This is AMAZING! I didn’t have to watch a five minute video, I didn’t have to figure out which markers someone was going between, and I got the idea quickly and simply. More tutes like this, please!

    • Kristy says:

Awesome that it worked so well! 😀

Lurve it!! Great colour – will have to try that one out!

This is a wonderful way of doing tutorials… I don’t have a lot of bandwidth, so I dont get the chance to watch 15 different videos on youtube… I specifically look for photo tutorials 🙂

  • Angie Ha says:

This is great!! I love the format too. I’d love to see more hair combos and skin combos this way ;). They’ll be great to print and keep hany with my markers.

    • Kristy says:

That’s a great idea Angie! I have a little swatch book that I keep near my bag of markers though I don’t always remember to put my combos in (duh me!)

  • Nitasha says:

Love this method of presenting the tutorial! So easy to print out and reference when I actually sit down to try it! Thank you so much! Would love to see how you add texture and color to dark haired girls. Thanks so much!

    • Kristy says:

Printing wasn’t something I had thought of! Too smart! I’ll definitely do more of these in the future 🙂

  • Lisa says:

Hi Kristy! Fantastic tutorial, so informative and easy to follow – I notice that you colour from light to dark and think I might have a go after seeing your tut to see if I like it! Saw your stunning card over on the Designed to Color blog this morning and your colouring blew me away…you are one very talented lady! Lisa x

    • Kristy says:

I color everything just about with the light to dark method. Your lightest color saturates the paper letting your colors blend easier since its wet on wet. You can do it the other way, and maybe that works best for you, but that’s the way I always recommend 🙂 Thanks tons for the sweet comments!

Kristy I can’t begin to tell you what a treat this is for me. I wanted to take your copic coloring classes online but I am going in for surgery Monday so I thought I should wait til after the hospital stay before enrolling in your “school”. (btw, do you have any idea when you will offer ythe next beginners classes) I LOVE this tutorial- thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I feel like you gave me a little “speedy recovery” incentive:) I can’t wait to get this surgery behind me and get back in my craft room. Thanks again Kristy – you can’t even begin to know how HAPPY you have made me:)
    Much love from Dixie

    • Kristy says:

We’ll be doing the next one in August after CHA but registrations will start in July. I hope your speedy recovery is like lightning! 😀 I’m glad you liked the tut! I go even more in depth about hair coloring in that class so if you like this tut you’ll heart the class I think 🙂 HUGS DIXIE and good luck with your surgery!

      • DixieG says:

I’ll be watching your blog like a hawk so I can sign up ASAP in July. Thank you for your well wishes:) <—-I don't know how to insert the cute little icons so I just have to old skool it:( lol

All I can say is WOW!!! What a great tutorial especially for a newbie to copic coloring like me. I just got done with the Basic class one color shading and will be submitting my homework project today but your coloring just blows me away!!! I can only hope to have just a bit of your talent in coloring never mind your creative images which I think are the cutest and I have bought a few and look forward to getting them all someday. Anyway… Thanks for sharing this very clear tutorial. God Bless.

    • Kristy says:

You’ll be diving in the deep end then today and Monday’s lessons then with my fav stuff Vickie! When you catch up I think you’ll get alot out of those lessons, they’ll really build up and you can look at this lesson and really know what to apply 🙂 I’m a nerd for hair coloring lol
