50 Days and counting

50 Days and counting until I’ll be leaving for CHA. I’ve been racking my brain figuring out what I want for a booth design. I’ve emailed and talked to some very helpful people (props to Smock and Marianne!) and pinned the crap out of the interwebs to pull my ideas together (my favs are the ones above). Now I’m waiting for a few quotes and such back to be able to finish up my design. Then in a couple weeks (while DH is on vacation) we are going to make an Ikea trip for lights, odds and ends and an expedit.

Don’t I sound calm about it today? Yesterday was a different story.

I’ve been going back and forth on about 4 different options for walls and knew what I wanted them to do but without spending a small fortune I couldn’t find an option that fit our needs (ie did what I want). I’m not a fan of pleated curtains and while that is a cost effective solution (and one I may still end up going to depending on what I get back) I don’t like pleated fabric curtains. :3 I don’t even use them at home, flat panels all the way!  So all that back and forth and back and forth kind of swirled my brain for a bit ( I think I might have had a mild panic attack :S ). Stubborness won thru and I calmed my mind down and kept at it and now feel much better! I even found a local company that might be doing our walls! Sometimes stubborness is ok lol

What’s left to do:

– Finish and get catalogs printed (started!)
New business cards (did that late last night. great deal too!)
– Order sheets
– Press Kit
– Ikea run
– Make decorative bits for the booth (at least I have ideas there)
– Buy the rest of the foam floor mats
– Send in the rest of the forms
– Order the new product samples
– Odds and Ends

That doesn’t sound too bad now that I know what we can and can’t do in the booth, which was my main worry!  50 days doesn’t seem a whole lot now lol but I’m confident we’ll get it done! I’m going to keep updating as I figure things out 🙂 Its quite a learning curve for your first go and frankly the info they give you is massive and none of it very useful.

If you’re going to be at CHA in Chicago make sure to stop and say hi!
