Goals for 2012

source

RING A DING DING! 2012 is officially here and a lot of people are making their New Years Resolutions. I am NOT going to be making resolutions this year but instead I’m making goals. Resolutions to me seem to convey that I don’t *really* have to follow thru, but I’d like to. Goals are something to work toward, something to achieve. Its all semantics but whatever works right?

So my goals for 2012 are broken up into a couple of categories, personal, business, and creative.

Personal:
Get thru the entire 90 days of Power 90. Started in December got the flu for a week then the kids were home and that just doesn’t work so I’m starting over, tomorrow, when they are back in school (THANK GOODNESS!)
– Spending freeze. I seriously have enough crafty stuff (the horror of that statement!) so unless its in the budget, its a no go.
Stick to a schedule. This will help with so many other things but being realistic about the times and what I need to get done will make it doable rather than not.
Put “money into savings” in the budget. Seriously.

Business:
CHA Summer Booth for Some Odd Girl. That is my biggest biz goal for the year! We’re putting a whole plan in place to see that this happens.
Quarterly sales goals. Have it official and on paper (its usually in my head and I don’t like that) and reevaluate our efforts every quarter.
Site Revamp. Yes, again. ha. That is actually already in the works and we’re *hoping* to have it ready for SOG’s birthday on January 18th!
Work ahead. I always try to work ahead but like everyone else, I assume at least, the holidays have put me behind. Time to push and stay ahead!
Plan my work, work my plan. *fist pump* ‘Nough said!

Creative:
Daily Sketches. Like I said maybe not so daily but the goal is 3 times a week.
– Explore more. In terms of color and expression.
Be Me. This might be the most generic sounding goal ever *but* so true! I see alot of artist that I find AMAZING and you can’t help but wanna be that awesome and successful but I don’t want to unless I’m true to me. Maybe that makes sense lol.

I have a plan behind each of these goals so they *are* a little more concrete than I make them sound all listed here XD  These are all going along with my OLW for 2012 which is

Flourish!

Have you set yourself any goals for 2012 or are you a resolution sorta girl?

I really don’t like resolutions. It has a negative connotation to me that you’re going to make this promise and likely going to give up by March. So I’m definitely more of a goals girl and I’m working on some new ones. Lots to get busy on business and personal-wise. ^w^ Looks like you have a fabulous list going! So far I’ve got blog more, get more photoshoots scheduled and draw more (doing a sketch a day, nothing fancy, if all it ends up is a doodle a day I’m good with that, haha maybe I should call it doodle a day instead). <3

Your goals seem realistic and understandable. I might have to piggy-back on a few of them. Like the “savings”, “schedule” and “work ahead” ones…

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.

Yes budget, schedule and site revamp- all goals I have as well. These are all realistic and what’s better- we all benefit from having you reach them as well. Have a GREAT 2012 Kristy!
