1 year self employed!
Last week it kinda went under the radar because of the Nouveau Girls release but November 1st was the one year anniversary of my being self employed! For me that’s was a big day and a big turn last year when I woke up in the morning and realized that I wasn’t going to my day job, remembering my last day at a job I had for 11 years, getting my feet under me and into a routine.
THIS was now my day job, a heady and intimidating thought.
This is year that day was celebrated by being interviewed by Copic Marker, getting to announce that I’ll be an artist in their 2012 catalog and getting to go be the parent helper in Dude’s preschool class, something I wouldn’t have been able to do just over a year ago.
I find it kind of like a wheel coming full circle today as the store I used to work at is commissioning me to come back and do some window painting as part of their holiday decorating. I’ll be there thru Wednesday which will be really fun! I always enjoyed doing that when I was there (though it hasn’t been done in years). I’m super looking forward to seeing the people who made leaving SO tough as they are like a second family! I’ll have pics to share 🙂
I’m excited what this next year will bring! So much to look forward to! BIG HUGS!!!
