Cards that Care Giveaway

Can you all believe we are half way thru this shindig? I can’t! Big thanks to everyone for all the wonderful birthday wishes and for joining us all month long! You can still go back and enter any of the giveaways and see all of the How To’s and Tuts that we’ve had so far. Wasn’t Copic Week amazing??? Mucho thanks to Zoe, Amy and Melissa for doing the wonderful videos and sharing your skills!

Today I have a little giveaways that goes along with a good cause that you can get in on.

Cards that Care is a card drive that collectsΒ holiday/christmas cards to send to the elderly in nursing homes across America. Grandfathers and Grandmothers who may be missing their families or may just feel lonely this holiday season. Just by doing something you already love to do, cardmaking, you can send smiles, love and lift spirits. Please hop over to Vera’s blog to read all the details about how you can get in on this wonderful cause.Β When Vera approached me about sponsoring a prize for this I was totally in! I have a 92 year old grandfather who lives, much too far away, in a nursing home so this is something I am proud to get behind!

But here, today, I have a little giveaway to help spread the word for Cards that Care. Grab the Cards that Care badge below and then come back here and let me know in the comments that you did (make sure there’s a link to your blog) and your comment will be your entry for this little gifty that I hope will get you in the mood…

Tree Trimmin Kaylee from Some Odd Girl and Echo Park’s 6×6 of Holly Jolly Christmas. Perfect together to make cards for the drive! You can enter thru October 29th, we’ll announce the winner on October 31st. You much have the badge up to win!

Your right Kristy the time is flying by, I loved the week of copics, learned so much, and throughly enjoyed all the projects!! Heck, I am throughly enjoying YOUR birthday! Thanks so much, and I have already put up the Badge for Vera’s drive on my blog, not that it helps much, I am not an avid blogger and don’t really have any followers, but will do all I can. I will send her all the cards I have made or will make between now and when it closes. So hope that will help, I think she did this last year as well, and I contributed through our HA flickr group. Not totally sure, brain is not as good as it used to be.
In fact some time back , I think it is your husband that helped me get badges and blinkies posted to my blog, yours was one of the first that I put on it last year I think, is your husband Jason or something similar? I think it was when you had a contest to name one of your stamps, I think the little monkey? OH well, does not matter, all is set.
Have a great day and thanks again,
    Donna

Just wanted to say that this is a wonderful idea. Not only for the recipients, but also fulfilling for the people making the cards. This is also a great way for middle school children to do as a community service activity.
