Quite a Pear!

Its Friday! Friday! Gotta get down on Friday!

Song stuck in your head? Good πŸ˜€ I can’t be the only one! Why suffer on my own lol.

Before I delve into my card I want to give a quick update on the diet front! Because of all the nausea I was having, my Dr adjusted the diet a smidge so I am now having 1 regular though high protein – low everything else meal a day. I’m still on the same calorie restrictions (500-600 coming from product now, 300 from the meal) and I’m soooo much happier! The nausea has settled though my tummy will always be touchy (has been for years) I’m not dreading eating. There was a week in there where I was so low on calories I got a stern talking to at the Dr’s office πŸ™‚ I appreciate that they care enough to scold! But I’m down just over 21 lbs now and settling back into the routine of meals with the new plan. So I’d love to hear or get your links for healthy high protein meals! I’m linking things on Pintrest if you want to see what I’ve got so far πŸ™‚

Anyways… my card! I mentioned I’m obsessed with square cards and this is another one. A monochromatic scheme with a pop of pink. I just heart Anjou! He’s so fun to color and he’s great for practicing your blending and defining your light source because he has so much open area. Papers are Basic Grey, Bazzill and We R Memories. Anjou is colored with copics YG000, YG00, YG01, YG03, YG07, N3, YG91, YG93, YG95, E15, E49, RV11, RV13.

I even did a lil somethin somethin on the inside πŸ™‚ I had to go punny with it!

I don’t usually so I can’t say I’m great at it πŸ™‚

By the by… those above are the teases I’ve been sharing on the SOG Facebook page for next weeks Sneaks Week. I have one more to share tomorrow so you’ll have to hop over there to see it. Fabulous card and I love all the green. Great news about the tummy issues balancing out. I’ll pin any great protein meals if I see them. My first thought is always grilled chicken with almonds & chick peas on leafy greens , always great for a high protein meal. And did you know that there are some great dressings, a fire-cracked pepper one is my fave that is only 10 calories, so it doesn’t kill the nutrional value like a creamy dressing does.

This is TOO much fun!! What a great image, and love your square card! The sentiment inside is too cute. (Your coloring is awesome, btw!) Thanks for getting silly with us at 365 cards. πŸ™‚

This is such a fun, sweet card! Your “anjou” is darling – great with the copics, by the way (I have so much trouble with large spaces)! Thank you so much for the welcome to Paper Issues! Have a wonderful 4th of July!

    Kristy,

Just wondering how the diet is going. Still haven’t started one of my own yet. My kids are here visiting and I think I’m going to schedule a start date for myself for when they leave. So looks like August 12th for me. I still need to decide what type of diet I will do. Probably leaning towards calorie counting. How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Is it working for you? I hope it’s all doing well for you.
