Make a scene!

I made a scene! 🙂 The challenge at Some Odd Girl today is to make a scene on your card.

At first, even though I set the challenges, I was totally stumped! I stumped myself. I can’t say that doesn’t happen often lol. But instead of making a flat card like I have before, I decided to try my hand at a stair step card (my first!) and use it to set the scene.

I used papers and stickers from My Little Shoebox and flowers and the background paper from Sassafras. Isn’t that paper so perfect for the sunsetting sky? Its from the starters line, all I did was mist it with yellow and orange Glimmer Mist to take it from grey/cream to this golden color. I think that paper cemented the idea 🙂

The center layer of grass is three deep with think foam dots popping each layer up slightly with the cute birds and Tia nestled in. I’m super happy with how this card turned out! I don’t think it will be making its way out my door anytime soon! I might have to make it a special place on my desk to remind me to try new things, sometimes they work out 🙂

Tia is colored with Copics:
Skin: YR0000, YR000, YR00, R00, R001, R002
Hair: YR12, YR14, E07, E09
Clothes: R30, R32, R35, R37
