Project wrap up

I have piccies of that project I have been working on. (see the first post about it here)I got everyone except grumpy grandpa (my FIL) to particiapte, hes NOT a people person and I didn’t really expect him to but it would have been nice.

Excuse the background clutter, we are cleaning out to donate lol. ANYWAYS, the pic right above is how the design on my sil turned out 🙂 The lighting makes the pics a little yellow. Its mostly Sass, with some Crate Paper and some Hambly. Kenton and Esme each made a pennant for the banner, decorated with their own Turkey hands. Esme’s featured her turkey with presents and balloons and a birthday cake and Kenton’s has grass, a path and very big face and feet. He’s just discovered that he likes drawing and has really gone from scribble to recognizable shapes and images in nothin flat! I then cut out the mass of lil leaves, some cardstock and some patterned paper, that all got misted with 4 colors of glimmer mist for that leaf mottled color. Next I cut out big leaves which got their edges inked and also misted. The large leaves is what everyone wrote down what they were thankful for.

Next year the kids will add another pennant and we will do more big leaves. I want this banner to grown until it can lap the room LOL! All the big leaves have the writers name and date (or the kids ages) so we can look back on them and not have to place it. The kids LOVE it and were super excited when everyone was adding their leaves to the banner. My SIL groaned a bit when asked to do it but she did :). My DH’s family is not at ALL they type to talk about feelings or things like this and while my fam, not so much me, is very quick to talk about their anger and hurt feelings, I like to do things like this and get all nostalgic so they are all gonna have to get used to it LMAO!

I hope you enjoyed and I’d love to hear YOUR family traditions for the holidays 🙂 Hope you enjoyed your day!
